i saw psychedelic furs play on their last tour...they were so great! i felt like a 15 year old again...peter butler sounded amazing and was reveling in the spotlight!

Pssst...there's a Richard and a Tim (and a Simon, but he's not in the band), but no Peter. :)

I wish they were going to be near me so I could check them out. I will admit to being somewhat unfamiliar with their work, but you make me want to see them!

damnit! i've done it again...i just commented to adam that i hate writing on this thing, because after i write something and post it, my mistakes are jumping out at me...yes...richard....ok adam...i will continue reading, but feel i can no longer comment...you're friends don't know me and are going to get the wrong idea...i'm not as flaky as i make myself out to be!

Haha! Jen, no worries, I frequently call my dog by my boyfriend's name (and vice versa), which is a lot worse!!! :D
And Adam, I should make you a CD of Furs stuff! You'd like them, I'm sure! Did you know that their longtime manager (before they split up in the early 90's) was Les Mills? He's the guy in the Banshees biography who went around to the record labels and spraypainted "SIGN THE BANSHEES! DO IT NOW!" on their offices. :)

I didn't know that about Les Mills! That's awesome! And I would love to hear some of their stuff! A CD would be great! And Jen, don't stop posting! We all make mistakes when we write- I have to remember 128 kids names everyday- I screw them up all the time!

Glad to hear the Furs are still kicking. I've started to listen to Catherine Wheel lately-their sound is similar to the Psychedellic Furs, thoug maybe a little more brooding. Check them out: www.catherinewheel.com
