Summer is almost over.......

God, what a strange summer this has been! Extreme heat, hospital stays, endless worry, then utter joy! And all this time I have been neglecting my poor journal! Well no more! I am back on the writing wagon, shall we say, and hope I can stay on for a while. I am starting work again in a week and a half, and I have so much to do! I need to put my classroom back in order, as the custodians never do after the rip it apart to clean, I have to put my supplies away, order more, update my lesson plans, and so much more! Then of course get ready to take 3 graduate classes so I can finish up my masters degree! Fun fun fun! This year is going to be crazy, but when it is all done I can finally relax!!

YO. Buy my pills and pumps and check my webcam.

Just kidding.

Hey, Monica just got a job in the public school system finally, so she's movin' on up. Those private schools pay jack squat.

So... I was just realizing that New Orleans is ruined and last I knew that's where our pal, Padrisa lives. Think she's floating on an innertube somewhere?

Wow! Someone is commenting on my blog! So anyway, where did Monica get a job? I have to meet her sometime. I want to come to NYC soon, and have nowhere to stay, so I may ask to stay with you! Pushy of me, I know, but oh well! Yeah, I am worried about Parisa, not sure if she still lives in New Orleans or not, Val and I were talking about it today, I will have to call her mother tomorrow and find out!

Monica's working somewhere in upper Manhattan now.

Monica said after our trip up to Po'dam, "We should've just gone to Adam's one day. It might've been more fun, y'know?"

She wants to meet you.

It was basically like hanging out with the family all day every day and it was a bit like talking to a 10-headed octopus, one of which is the mom-head and wants more attention than the rest. I noticed some incredible similarities to the mother on Everybody Loves Raymond.

I love that analogy! Yuo should have just stopped by, I would have loved to see you both! By the way, how is Scott doing?

I only saw Scott for about 20 minutes. He seemed fine, I guess. I didn't know he was going to be home, but the entire Wright clan was home for the weekend. I didn't even realize it but Julie has 2 sons and they're already like 7 years old or something. Blech. Family. Who wants to have kids? I am so disappointed by everyone I know. They've all gone and had families.

So, did you ever call the Bassims? I was joking before, but now that more news is coming out, it sounds like there's a good chance she could be dead or something. I wouldn't want to make that phone call if I was you. Could be real uncomfortable.

I called Mrs. Bassim last week, and Parisa is fine, she is staying in LaFayette County, and lost all of her stuff.

Oh wow! For some reason, I totally didn't think of her as the type of person to bother heeding weather warnings, yet I didn't think she'd be in dire straights either for some reason. Hopefully she didn't have too much stuff to lose. This whole thing had me reevaluating my belongings and I realized that I need to get some insurance!
